We will be travelling in air conditioned vehicles as not to compromise your comfort at any point of the trip. After checking in, everyone can relax and enjoy their meals, for the next few days will be full of adventure.

After enjoying breakfast, everyone is asked to take a breather and relax. The hotel is equipped with many facilities to help you while away the time. The helpful sstaff is always at your beck and call for any assistance. This day will fade into night and then it’s off to bed. The next day, everyone wakes up to a hearty buffet style breakfast. Everyone is encouraged to have a leisurely day. The hotel itself is based very close to the Negombo lagoon. The area creates scenic spaces that capture the hearts and minds of anyone viewing them. The 68 rooms of the hotel are well equipped with all the modern comforts one would find in a four star hotel. If anyone is not satisfied with the standard rooms, the hotel offers more luxurious options as well. These luxury suites come equipped with all the usual goodies as well as a few bonus ones, such as the spacious balcony overlooking the lagoon or pool as well as the Jacuzzis in the room. You can sun bathe by the side of the large outdoor pool, or take a dip in its refreshing waters. The evenings can be as quiet or as loud as you choose. Negombo | Sigiriya

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Sigiriya where you will check into your hotel for the evening. Spend the afternoon at leisure or take the opportunity tto join an optional guided tour of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya | Polonnaruwa

Hotel: EKHO Lake House

The tour takes us to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa today. Places of historic importance will be visited. The Polonnaruwa museum is also one of those places. Afteer the tour, it’s back to the hotel Polonnaruwa is the next city on our list. Here you will be a part of a guided tour of this glorious city. The Lankatilake and Thuparamaya are some of the largest image houses depicting frescoes of the Polonnaruwa era. Rankoth Vehera and Kirivehera are two large dome-shaped monuments adorned with a jewel at its pinnacle. Both of these “Sthupas” are testaments to the genius and the ingenuity of the builders and architects of the time. The Parakrama Samudraya or “Sea of Parakrama” is a man-made reservoir duly named after the king who ordered its construction. It is named so because of its magnitude alone. Men, who had not seen a sea, assumed it would be as big as this man-made one. We will also visit the Gal Viharaya Archeological Museum as well. This building too holds many archaeological findings of the Polonnaruwa era.

Polonnaruwa | Kandy

The next day, we travel to Dambulla. A guided tour will be arranged to explore the vastness of the Golden Temple, which is also called the Dambulu Viharaya. After the tour, we head to Kandy to check in. Towering over the city of Dambulla, this chunk of rock is about 500 feet high and the base has a circumference of over 1 mile. History records show that the famous king Walagamba of Anuradhapura was exiled to this part of the island. In his loneliness he came upon and found shelter in the caves of Dambulla. After regaining his seat of power, the grateful king constructed a monument of gratitude which is known today as the Rock Temple of Dambulla. They are the most famous among all rock temples within the country, dating back to the 1st century B.C. The rock temple has been declared a world heritage site as well. The tour then takes us to Kandy. The city is also a world heritage site and is famously known as the last kingdom capital of the Sri Lankan kings. Everyone is taken to the Kandy City Centre, a large mall with many commodities and good to be bought. You can wander around the many boutiques present, and even shop till you drop. The gem and lapidary museums too can be of great interest.

Kandy | Galle

The next day leads us down south to the city of Galle. Your party will enjoy a city tour before checking into the hotel. The city of Galle, which was originallyy referred to as Gimhathiththa, is even referenced to by the great traveller and explorer Ibn Batuta in his journals dated back to the 14th Century B.C. After the Portuguese and subsequently the Dutch, arrived and colonized Sri Lanka, the city of Galle went under much refurbishment and development. The colonials built the great Galle fort and so many other buildings that are preserved to this very day. They hold a huge amount of colonial architecture in their shapes and construction. There are many other shrines, temples and churches constructed over the centuries by many a priest or missionary in the name of their deities.

After a good night’s rest, everyone sigh a breath of relief, because today is a leisure day. The hotel, which is in Koggala, is situated very close to the beach. TThe golden sands and the blue waters make for a scenic scape. A day of sun bathing and sand castles await you. If you don’t like sand in your hair, the hotel is also equipped with a large pool. A refreshing dip after many days of travel, maybe the best thing to keep you completely relaxed. The hotel’s spa with its well trained staff is at your beck and call to ensure that you and your party are always kept in utmost comfort. Every room in this massive hotel has access to satellite television and wireless internet, to bring the whole world to your fingertips. After a completely relaxed and enjoyable day, it’s time to call it a night.

Galle | Colombo

We make our way back from the south, to another Galle. This Galle is in fact the Galle Face Hotel in the heart of Colombo. After checking-in, it’s time to relax aand recuperate. The city of Colombo is the current trade capital and a thriving metropolis in Sri Lanka. The ever so changing Colombo sky line is a witness to the great strides in development the country has seen. The numerous boulevards and pavements are busy with people from all walks of life. The recent increase of buildings in the city has even earned it the term ‘Concrete Jungle’ and that, it is.

Hotel: Galle Face Hotel Colombo

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, this day would be the last for your party. Our tour guide and chauffer will gladly take you around the citty of Colombo for more shopping and site seeing. Then it’s time to bid farewell to the island paradise. The Pettah Bazar, a shopping paradise, will be one of our stops. The sellers are usually very friendly and love to bargain. But it’s always better to be careful and stick together as a crowd when travelling through the little streets among a sea of heads. There is many a temple and kovil in and around Colombo. The National Museum also will be an interesting place to visit during the day. After much shopping and much exploring, it is time to bid farewell. You and your party will be driven to the Bandaranayake International Airport in the evening. Our staff will help you in any way possible, to ensure you have a safe and comfortable transition on to the plane. After a final wave goodbye, it’s time to depart, with the many memories and sun tans from the Pearl of the Indian Ocean.
